The hair and beauty industry, by it's very nature, is close contact, and therefore, unfortunately, provides a certain level of risk when it comes to Covid-19. We worked very hard prior to
our re-opening on 4th July 2020, then again on 13th April 2021, to ensure that we met, and wherever we can, exceeded, Government guidance to ensure we're 'Covid Secure'. We did this by
implementing the following procedures and measures:
- A full and thorough risk assessment was carried out in relation to the premises, working practices and staff and customer safety
- PPE was provided for all staff, with training on how it should be used correctly and safely
- Protective screens were erected where necessary, as a 2 metre minimum social distancing cannot be maintened
- Floor markings and customer signage was placed throughout the salon to ensure compliance with required social distancing
- Hand sanitising facilities were added throughout the salon, for the use of customers and staff
- Sterilisation facilities were in place throughout the salon for equipment used, and extra cleaning procedures have been put in place between every client
- Extra precautions were taken with regards to our massage treatments, due to the potential risk of blood clots associated with Covid-19 and it's vaccines - please see here for more information
All national restricions relating to Covid-19 have since been dropped, but as a salon, we have chosent to retain a lot of the above procedures and measures, to help keep our staff and customeers
as safe as possible.
